Stages of enterprise formation
World medicine and medical equipment have made great progress in recent decades. Indicative in this regard is the development of such a direction in healthcare as hemodialysis and the associated history of the Production unitary enterprise "FreBor".
An agreement was signed between the government of the USSR and the German company Fresenius Medical Care on the establishment of a plant in Borisov for the production of hemodialyzers ("artificial kidney"), as well as blood transfusion systems.
The joint Belarusian-German joint venture "Fresenius-Borisov-Dialyzotechnik" in the form of a limited liability company was established on July 25, 1991 on the basis of an order of the Ministry of Medical and Microbiological Industry of the USSR. The founders of the company are: the Soviet side represented by "Borisov Plant of Medical Preparations", the German company "Fresenius Medical Care", the joint-stock company "Corporation Pharmindustria".
The beginning of production activity. In May of this year, production facilities based on the unique Fresenius Medical Care technologies were put into operation and designed to produce 2 million dialyzers and 2 million sets of blood tubing lines per year.
The technology of manufacturing Universal medical transfusion-infusion sets (UMS) and other import-substituting products has been introduced, the volumes of which currently fully cover the health needs of the Republic of Belarus.
Launch of a line for the production of polysulfone fibers (the main filter element of the capillary dialyzer).
Launch of the second line of polysulfone fibers. The award of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality was received.
Voluntary certification of the environmental management system (environmental management system) according to STB ISO 14001, obtaining an environmental certificate of conformity.
The integrated management system is certified for compliance with ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000. Accreditation of the microbiological laboratory of the enterprise.
Commissioning of a new site for the assembly of infusion systems.
The commissioning of the 2nd sterilization chamber took place.
International EU certification confirming compliance of medical devices with the requirements of the Directives of the European Union (Directive 93/42/EEC) in the field of product safety.
Reorganization of the enterprise into a Production unitary enterprise "FreBor".
Received a certificate from the ("Institut pro testovani a certifikaci" ITC (Czech Republic), confirming the compliance of the company's quality management system with the requirements of EN ISO 13485:2016.
Renewal of the technological equipment fleet: -purchase of an injection-blowing machine, which allowed to increase the volume of products, reduce the amount of waste to a minimum, reduce the cost of production; purchase of a high-performance extrusion line Bausano, which allows to increase productivity by 2.5 times; purchase of an injection molding machine "ENGEL VICTORY".
Comprehensive automation of the assembly process of infusion and transfusion sets.
The main equipment park of the component production workshop has been expanded with two ARBURG ALLROUNDER 420 C 1000 - 290 GOLDEN EDITION injection molding machines.
In 2024, the only automatic line for the production of medical PVC plastic in the Republic of Belarus was installed.
