President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, together with his sons, took part in a rally-requiem dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy in Khatyn.
The landmark event was visited by the delegation of the Borisov region.
A large-scale reconstruction project was completed by the anniversary of the tragedy. A museum and a church were built on the territory of the memorial complex.
The Belarusian leader stressed that on March 22, people in Belarus are mourning the inhabitants of almost 11 thousand settlements, which were partially or completely burned.
“In the Year of Peace and Creation, we, Belarusians, speak clearly and loudly: there is no justification for the policy of genocide, there is nothing more important than human life!" Come here more often. If we forget the road to Khatyn, everything will repeat itself,” the President concluded.
